WHAT IS WHOLE NUTRITION ALL ABOUT?

The field of nutrition can be a mine field. So many catch phrases, trendy diets and uneducated social media influencers who cloud our judgement and confuse our minds.

Yet the principle of good eating is simple. Eat according to what makes you perform at your best, and feel good while doing it.

Pretty easy right?

So why are we all so lost in an aspect of our lives that should be a easy as falling off a log? Food is fuel and fuel is essential for our physical and mental well being. We all have to have it, and with that food itself becomes an overwhelming concept in our minds.

The internet is flooded with quick fix plans, shakes, regimes and diets complicating what is an essential daily activity. I feel confused and frustrated when I read so much garbage online, misguiding and misleading trusting people who just want to do well.

I took up studying Nutrition when I was in the same situation. I wanted to eat well, I thought I was doing just fine how I was, and for the most part I was. My body composition was in the normal range, my blood markers were in the normal range (that's a whole other post, one of my pet peeves is being told we are in 'normal' ranges), yet I didn't feel well. How can that be normal then? So I decided to do something about it.

Now I am a qualified Nutrition Coach with the Holistic Performance Institute. And the business of Whole Nutrition evolved.

The philosophy of Whole is that we can achieve whole health through holistic nutrition. This means treating the person as a whole. With understanding of every one's individual needs. Some of us will thrive on one way of eating, some of us will thrive another way. And thriving is what we all strive for. Sure, we can survive with mediocre nutrition, sleep, exercise and mental health, but to thrive is something else.

Whole Nutrition will help you achieve this. Whatever your walk of life, age or goals, your health and well being can be enhanced with the science of good, evidence based, practical nutrition advice. With a focus on whole unrefined foods, targeted supplementation and specialist nutritional knowledge, Whole will help you thrive, not just survive.
